PSYCHIATRIC PROVIDER
Matt Slusher
APRN, PMHNP-BC
As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), my approach to mental health care is rooted in compassion and a commitment to creating a supportive, therapeutic environment for my patients. I strive to connect with individuals on a personal level, fostering trust and understanding, which are critical to providing effective care. My goal is to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those I serve, ensuring you feel valued and respected throughout your mental health journey.
My career began in geriatric and adult psychiatric inpatient units, where I developed expertise in managing severe mental health conditions. This experience, combined with my time on high-acuity medical floors, equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of both medical and psychiatric disorders. As a PMHNP in outpatient community mental health, I’ve worked with a diverse range of diagnoses, including Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Bipolar I and II disorders, PTSD, and
ADHD, which has strengthened my passion for addressing gaps in mental health care.
I am dedicated to breaking the stigma surrounding mental health and restoring dignity to those who seek help. While medication management is an important aspect of my practice, I emphasize the importance of lifestyle changes and regular therapy, working collaboratively with patients to create holistic, individualized treatment plans. I find particular fulfillment in working with adults, especially those struggling with anxiety disorders, and I aim to provide practical, empathetic care that empowers you to manage your symptoms effectively.
My practice is driven by empathy, dedication, and a holistic approach to mental health
care. I am committed to helping you build resilience and achieve a better quality of life through compassionate, person-centered treatment.
